Our community center offers a safe environment to vulnerable children. A community center doesn’t just improve the lives of children but also lifts up the entire community! It is a powerful symbol that our children and families matter and that we care enough to invest in their communities.
It is where all our sponsored and non-sponsored children from the community gather to learn, play and share. The children are mentored in groups, where they receive individual attention from caring staff. Each child receives tutoring, counseling, and support to make sure their academic, spiritual, and personal needs are all being met.

Public schools in our communities’ lack early childhood learning programs, resulting in children starting school at age 7 with no foundation in English and math. These schools vary in terms of facilities and resources, with some having modern classrooms while others lack basic supplies like textbooks. The schools are overcrowded, with limited resources and one teacher responsible for multiple students.
Despite these challenges, many children are eager to learn and achieve good grades. However, the lack of textbooks and reading resources hinders their academic progress. Consequently, they struggle in exams and may have to repeat classes, leading to a higher risk of dropping out. This situation is particularly prevalent among girls, who may choose early marriages as an alternative.
