About Us

We are dedicated and committed to Empowering children, Youth & women from underserved communities

Who We Are

Jangwen Foundation is a community-based, non-profit organization established in 2023 to address systemic inequalities in rural communities of Tororo and the slum areas of Wakiso District, Uganda, where children, youth, and women lack access to quality education, health education and services, leadership opportunities, and economic empowerment needed to thrive.

We achieve this by using a Cradle-to-Career (C2C) approach, providing comprehensive support for children, youth, and women at every stage of their development through coordinated strategic programs in education, health, economic and leadership development, sports for development, and girls’ empowerment. Through this approach, we aim to break cycles of poverty while fostering resilience, lifelong success, and economic mobility.

Our Vision

We envision a thriving Uganda where every child, youth, and woman, regardless of social status or disability—lives free from poverty, has access to quality education and health information and services, and is empowered to contribute to sustainable community development.

Our Mission

To empower vulnerable children, youth, and women to realize their full potential through integrated education, health, life skills, leadership, and livelihood programs that drive dignity, resilience, and sustainable community transformation.

Our Goal

To break cycles of poverty and inequality by ensuring equitable access to quality education, healthcare, economic, and leadership opportunities, enabling every child, youth, and woman to reach their full potential and drive lasting change within their communities.
