Empowering Children, Youths And Women

We are dedicated and committed to Empowering children, Youth & women from underserved communities

we strive to empower the vulnerables.

Welcome To Jangwen
Foundation

Jangwen Foundation is a community-based, non-profit organization established in 2023 to address systemic inequalities in rural communities of Tororo and the slum areas of Wakiso District, Uganda, where children, youth, and women lack access to quality education, health education and services, leadership opportunities, and economic empowerment needed to thrive.

We achieve this by using a Cradle-to-Career (C2C) approach, providing comprehensive support for children, youth, and women at every stage of their development through coordinated strategic programs in education, health, economic and leadership development, sports for development, and girls’ empowerment.

How You Can Help

Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or spread the word about our cause, your contribution will help us continue to make a positive impact in the communities where we work. Together, we can create a brighter future for those in need.

Sponsor Child

Sponsoring a child provides them with the opportunity to see beyond their daily struggles – and helps them gain the skills they need to positively contribute to their families and communities.

Volunteer With Us

Join us in creating a brighter future for vulnerable communities in Tororo District. By volunteering with us, you can make a meaningful impact through health initiatives, education programs etc.

Give Monthly

As a sponsor, you’ll assist disadvantaged children in overcoming their biggest struggles: getting and staying healthy, remaining in school, and finding a stable job in the formal work sector.

Our Vision

We envision a thriving Uganda where every child, youth, and woman, regardless of social status or disability—lives free from poverty, has access to quality education and health information and services, and is empowered to contribute to sustainable community development.

Our Mission

To empower vulnerable children, youth, and women to realize their full potential through integrated education, health, life skills, leadership, and livelihood programs that drive dignity, resilience, and sustainable community transformation.

Our Goal

To break cycles of poverty and inequality by ensuring equitable access to quality education, healthcare, economic, and leadership opportunities, enabling every child, youth, and woman to reach their full potential and drive lasting change within their communities.

Our Programs

We use a Cradle-to-Career (C2C) approach, providing comprehensive support for children, youth, and women at every stage of their development. Through coordinated strategic programs in education, health, economic and leadership development, sports for development, and girls’ empowerment, we strive to break cycles of poverty while fostering resilience, lifelong success, and economic mobility.

Education

Education is at the core of our mission to alleviate poverty and empower vulnerable children and women in impoverished communities. With a strong belief in the transformative power of education, we strive to create a future where every child has access to quality education, regardless of their socio-economic background.

Health Care

Even when health related issues do not kill, they still affect everyday life. It is estimated that on average children in Africa will miss 20 days of education because of sickness and health related issues. This is around 11% of the total teaching days. If children are not at school, they cannot gain a good quality education.
